Expanding a standalone SCCM Primary Site SCCM CB 1802 - Step by Step

  Before initiating the installation please make sure, all pre-requisites has been met. Below are the key points to note.

Site roles : Asset intelligence synchronization point, EP Point, Service connection point must be uninstalled from the Standalone primary Site.

If any migration job configured must be finished or removed.

System account of Standalone Primary (Here after Primary) must be local admin group member of CAS server.

AD System management container: Grand full permission for CAS Computer account

Setup Source: Setup Source of SCCM must be used from Install directory CD.Latest folder of Primary server (Eg: C:\Microsoft Configuration Manager\CD.latest)

Open Elevated Command prompt and run Splash.hta on the setup source. and start providing details.

As you can see on the snap , this is where you mention the name of your standalone primary site. Name must be FQDN.

Click next by choosing default values

It works in both ways, either you can select 'yes' or you can choose 'Skip for now'. Please note you should have an active internet connection if you choose 'Yes'
